Helping Here, More

I was talking to my sister when the idea of donating to different organizations struck me. I want to use this business to support as many as possible, and here was another way to do that! I decided to either support local ministries or organizations that are close to my heart.

The first one was an easy choice - Feed My Sheep. Feed My Sheep is a local homeless ministry that I've been a part of since 2012, almost it's start, and now I serve on the Board of Directors in addition to helping them with anything that involves the internet. (feedmysheeptemple.org)

The next month, we donated to Foster Love Bell County. Foster Love Bell County is an organization that supports local foster families and those interested in fostering children. (fosterlovebellcounty.org)

MOPS, International is an international Christian mom's group, which I've also been  a part of since my son was a baby. MOPS is such a wonderful support group for moms going through that tough phase of motherhood, and I've gained lifelong friends from my involvement. MOPS has groups all over the world, and I'm honored to be able to support them in their ministry. (mops.org)

In September 2020, we donated to Hope Pregnancy Centers. Hope provides pre-natal care, post-natal care, counseling, and so many other services to women. (hopepc.com)

October 2020's recipient was the Temple Children's Museum. This is a local museum that has been gradually scraping financial support and manpower to open a children's museum in our small city. It's not an easy feat! After doing "pop up" exhibits for a few years, they're finally in a semi-permanent home and it is INCREDIBLE. The citizens of our town - big and small - are so fortunate to have this force of nature group of people behind this project! (templechildrensmuseum.org)

In November, we will be donating to Churches Touching Lives for Christ in Temple, TX. CTLC, as it's locally known, serves as sort-of a combination food pantry/thrift store - where everything is free - for those less fortunate. This organization was created as a coalition of local churches looking to help our neediest citizens. (ctlcministries.org)

I look forward to updating this list with future organizations to which we'll donate! The list keeps getting bigger, and my hope is to be able to donate more as my little shop grows.

Thank you for being here, and thank you for reading!
